I did not intend to slight our government, may God protect it, when I criticized some of its decisions due to errors in previous experiences. Furthermore, retracting a wrong decision does not reflect poorly on it, nor is it a fault when the government seeks the opinions of those concerned and affected by issues where the government is unaware of the outcomes of its decisions.
Therefore, we hope that it does not rush, without taking into account the negatives of those decisions and the resulting harms and losses to citizens.
By the first decision, I mean the prohibition on the sale, transfer, and conveyance of government lands, such as farms and jagirs (hereditary land grants), and others. Economic activity and its dynamics are partly dependent on buying and selling everything; there is no difference between government lands and private lands regarding sales, provided that contractual conditions oblige the lessee to adhere to using the land for its designated purpose, or to reclaim it if any contract terms are violated. The seller and buyer of state lands, just like the seller and buyer of private lands, will both use them for the same purpose. It is worth noting that the state benefits from the annual rent and the transfer value upon sale. Therefore, we hope the government will reverse its decision to allow sales and transfers to revitalize the economy, at least from this aspect.

As for the second decision, it will also result in harms and losses to livestock owners after the transfer of sheep and goats to sites, some of which are unsuitable for grazing, far from services, and distant from their owners’ residences, making them vulnerable to theft. Additionally, the prices of "tanakir" (large feed sacks) will rise by more than double. Due to the lack of adequate space between one jagir and another, sheep will suffer from the spread of infection among them when diseased, which will affect our animal wealth, which we must preserve.
It is worth noting that one of the most essential necessities for sheep is that they graze and roam, meaning they eat from God’s wild provisions and stretch their legs to walk. This is not available in the new sites. Even the provided feed does not exceed fifty sacks, and those who do not receive enough must wait for two weeks, forcing them to rent a vehicle, which adds to their new costs, may God help them.
We respectfully request that the government show compassion for this segment of its citizens and reconsider its decision after hearing their viewpoints, to reach a solution that satisfies livestock owners on one hand, while not deviating from the government’s requirements regarding organization and security.
We congratulate the Kuwaiti people, and the dutiful son of Kuwait, Ali Al-Obaidli, and his family, on this achievement of winning the grand prize after defeating astronomers and astrophotographers from around the world. This victory was not achieved except by God’s grace, followed by the efforts of this hero after years of sleepless nights and hard work, until he realized his ambitions, praise be to God. Just as he raised his country’s flag at international forums, his country’s officials should honor him appropriately, both materially and spiritually.
