Prince's Representative Discusses with Limak Latest Developments of Its Major Projects in Kuwait and Development of National Competencies
Crown Prince Discusses with GE Vernova Strengthening Partnership in Energy Projects and Enhancing Power Plant Efficiency
His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, received a number of global company executives in New York today, on behalf of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. They discussed recent developments in Kuwait’s developmental and energy projects, as well as ways to enhance cooperation, transfer expertise, and develop national competencies, thereby supporting economic competitiveness and contributing to the achievement of Kuwait’s vision goals.
His Highness received Volkan Bozkurt, Advisor to the Board of Directors of Limak Holding, and Ibro Oezdemir, Chairwoman of the Company’s Board of Directors, at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the major construction and developmental projects being implemented by the company in Kuwait, alongside an overview of its programs aimed at developing and training national talents through knowledge transfer and capacity building.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy and contribute to achieving the goals of Kuwait Vision 2035.
Attending the meeting were Foreign Minister Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna, and Major General Ahmed Al-Duaiji, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office.
In a separate meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince received Scott Strazik, Chief Executive Officer of the global energy company GE Vernova, and his accompanying delegation, at the Kuwait Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
The meeting reviewed existing cooperation between Kuwait and the company, and ways to strengthen the partnership in developing energy projects and improving the efficiency of electricity generation plants. It also discussed the latest updates on the GE Technology Center in Kuwait, which celebrated its tenth anniversary last year.
The meeting emphasized the importance of developing human resources and investing in national competencies through knowledge transfer and capacity building, thereby contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the achievement of Kuwait’s vision goals.
