Al-Badawi: GCC countries stand united with Saudi Arabia

- The Houthi militia’s continued targeting of the Kingdom reflects its insistence on pursuing its dangerous escalationist approach.

The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms on Thursday the Houthi militia’s launch of ballistic missiles toward the Saudi cities of Taif and Yanbu.

In a statement, AlBudaiwi said that the Houthi militia’s continued targeting of the Kingdom’s territory and the lives of civilians with ballistic missiles reflects its insistence on continuing its dangerous escalationist approach within the Kingdom.

He affirmed the GCC states’ united stance alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and their full support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and stability, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents on its soil.
