Traffic Department: Four reckless drivers detained in Al-Wafra Agricultural Area and referred to Central Prison

- Five vehicles crushed after completion of legal procedures

The General Traffic Department, represented by the Security Supervision Directorate, succeeded in apprehending four suspects for engaging in reckless and dangerous driving in the Al-Wafra Agricultural Area, thereby endangering the safety of road users. This action followed intelligence reports of a gathering in the area with the intent to engage in reckless driving and unlawful assembly.

In a statement, the Traffic Department said that search, investigation, and surveillance operations revealed that the suspects had concealed the vehicles used in these activities within several farms. It clarified that, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Marine Resources, five vehicles and the suspects were seized.

The statement added that the necessary legal measures were taken against the suspects, who were referred to the Central Prison. The five vehicles were subsequently crushed after the completion of legal procedures, in connection with violations of reckless driving, negligent driving, and endangering the safety of road users, in accordance with Article 33 (bis) of the Traffic Law.
