Hawally Security arrests a Bangladeshi national with 126 bags of heroin and "Shabu"

The Hawally Governorate Security Directorate, represented by the Operations and Patrols Department – Vehicle Deployment Section, successfully apprehended a suspect of Bangladeshi nationality in possession of narcotic substances, as part of ongoing security efforts to apprehend violators and drug dealers.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that the apprehension followed suspicions regarding an individual found in a dirt lot who exhibited signs of nervousness. A precautionary search revealed a quantity of narcotic substances in his possession.

It was added that when confronted with the seized items, the suspect admitted to delivering narcotics to users by hiding them in dirt lots and documenting their locations via phone GPS. He also confessed to having another quantity of narcotics in his residence in the Salmiya district.

The ministry clarified that upon visiting the residence and completing the necessary legal procedures, additional quantities of narcotics were found. It noted that the total seized items amounted to 101 bags of heroin, 25 bags of shabu (methamphetamine), four drug paraphernalia items, and a precision scale.

The suspect and the seized items were referred to the competent authorities to take all necessary legal actions against him.
