Criminal Court: Seven-year prison sentence for two Gulf nationals who forged Kuwaiti nationality and embezzled salaries and financial benefits

The Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Mubarak Al-Duwaichi and comprising Judges Hamad Al-Hajri and Faisal Al-Khudair, sentenced two Gulf nationals to seven years of imprisonment with hard labor, to be served immediately, in a case involving the forgery of Kuwaiti nationality and the misappropriation of salaries and financial benefits. The court also ordered their deportation from the country upon completion of their sentences.

The verdict was issued in the presence of the second defendant and in absentia for the first defendant. The court further fined the first defendant 185,107 Kuwaiti dinars and ordered his deportation following the execution of his sentence.

The court also sentenced the second defendant to seven years of imprisonment with hard labor, to be served immediately, dismissed him from his position, and ordered him to repay 103,318 dinars and 389 fils to the Kuwait Municipality, the Public Authority for Social Insurance, the Public Authority for Manpower, and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare, with each entity receiving the amount misappropriated from it.

Additionally, the court imposed a fine of 206,636 dinars on the second defendant, equivalent to twice the total amount of misappropriated funds, and ordered his deportation upon completion of his sentence.

The court also ordered the confiscation of the forged documents seized in the case.
