Crown Prince's Representative Discusses Strengthening Relations with Luxembourg, Syria, Finland, Libya, and Yemen

- Crown Prince Discussed Investment Cooperation Opportunities and National Talent Development with Blackstone Group

His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, was received by representatives of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in separate meetings at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York. The attendees included Guillaume, Grand Duke of Luxembourg; Ahmad al-Sharaa, President of the Arab Republic of Syria; Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland; Mohamed al-Menfi, Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council; Dr. Abdullah al-Ahmari Baazier, Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen; and Jonathan Gray, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the global investment firm Blackstone. These meetings took place on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During his meeting with Grand Duke Guillaume, the Crown Prince conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, along with best wishes for his health and well-being, and for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and its people, wishing them continued progress and prosperity.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Kuwait and Luxembourg and ways to develop them in the interest of both countries and peoples, alongside a discussion of the latest developments in regional and international affairs.

In another meeting, the Crown Prince received President Ahmad al-Sharaa and his accompanying delegation, conveying greetings from His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, and best wishes for his health, as well as for the Arab Republic of Syria and its people, wishing them continued security, stability, and prosperity.

The meeting addressed the fraternal bilateral relations between Kuwait and Syria and ways to develop them in the interest of both countries and peoples, in addition to discussing the latest developments in regional and international affairs.

The Crown Prince also received Jonathan Gray and his accompanying delegation, discussing with him opportunities for joint investment cooperation between Kuwait and Blackstone, global economic developments and investment opportunities, as well as ways to provide opportunities for investing in national human capital to contribute to developing their capabilities, refining their skills, and leveraging global expertise in investment fields.

Attending the meetings, according to each session, were Sheikh Jarrah Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; Major General Ahmed Al-Duaiji, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office; and Counsellor Abdullah Al-Obeidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Minister’s Office.
