Iraq and Oman draw 1-1 in their opening match of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup

Iraq and Oman drew 1-1 on Wednesday in the opening match of their campaigns in Group A of the 27th Gulf Cup, being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Iraq took an early lead through Mohammed Qasim in the sixth minute, before Oman equalized via Nasser Al-Ruwaichi in the 66th minute.

With the result, both teams earned one point each to start their tournament campaigns. Group A also includes Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, who are set to face each other later today.
