Bahrain's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Discuss Enhancing Security Cooperation and Supporting Joint Gulf Cooperation

Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, met with Bahrain’s Minister of Interior, First Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, in Manama on Wednesday to discuss ways to enhance security cooperation and the latest developments on the regional and international scenes, contributing to supporting security and stability and advancing the Gulf joint security cooperation agenda.
The Bahraini Ministry of Interior stated in a statement that the meeting took place during the Bahraini Minister of Interior’s reception of Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, which stems from the deep fraternal ties and close historical relations between the two brotherly countries.
The statement noted that Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef affirmed, during the meeting, Kuwait’s steadfast support for Bahrain in confronting any threats to its security and stability, based on the historical relations uniting the two brotherly countries and their peoples.
For his part, the Bahraini Minister of Interior welcomed Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef’s visit, expressing pride in the level of security cooperation and coordination achieved within the framework of joint efforts to address security challenges and regional changes.
In this context, he affirmed Bahrain’s support for all measures taken by Kuwait to maintain its security and stability, stressing the importance of enhancing the exchange of expertise in all areas of security work between the two countries, ensuring the preservation of security and public safety within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the shared principles underpinning Gulf cooperation.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing security cooperation and coordination, as well as the exchange of expertise and information between the two brotherly countries’ interior ministries, praising the advanced level of bilateral relations and the close cooperation witnessed in various security fields.
During the meeting, both sides pointed to the importance of unifying efforts and strengthening Gulf security partnerships to address current challenges, and supporting all initiatives that consolidate the pillars of security and stability and achieve common interests.
