The King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, expressed on Wednesday the Kingdom’s pride in the strong fraternal bonds and close historical relations that unite it with sisterly Kuwait, noting that these ties are growing stronger and more distinctive due to the mutual commitment to enhancing and developing cooperation across all fields.
Bahrain’s state news agency (BNA) reported that this statement was made during the King’s reception of Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, who was present with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The visit was aimed at conveying greetings to the King on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom. Sheikh Fahad conveyed the greetings and appreciation of his brother, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, along with his best wishes for the Kingdom and its noble people to continue achieving progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.
During the reception, the King of Bahrain welcomed the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, and conveyed his greetings and sincere wishes to his brother, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, wishing him good health and happiness, and to the Kuwaiti people continued progress and prosperity.
The King of Bahrain praised the pioneering role played by His Highness the Amir of Kuwait in supporting and developing the distinctive Bahraini-Kuwaiti relations, as well as Kuwait’s honorable stance toward its sister Kingdom of Bahrain and its benevolent efforts to enhance joint Gulf cooperation.
He highlighted the high level of fruitful cooperation and joint coordination achieved between Bahrain and Kuwait across all levels, particularly in the security field, which serves the mutual interests of the two sister countries and strengthens their entrenched fraternal relations. He emphasized the importance of continuous consultation and coordination between the two countries, especially in light of the delicate circumstances currently facing the region.
For his part, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the King of Bahrain for the warm reception and hospitality shown. He conveyed his profound pride in the King’s efforts and constant commitment to strengthening the distinctive historical ties and consolidating fraternal cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait, while commending the honorable fraternal stance of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the leadership of the Bahraini monarch.
