Japan: Death toll from Typhoon Doksuri rises to 9, with 4 missing

The death toll from Typhoon Doksuri in Japan has risen to nine, with four people still missing, after the typhoon struck the country's eastern regions earlier this week.

Japan's Kyodo News agency reported that search operations for the missing are ongoing, as the storm caused heavy rainfall and flooding in several areas of eastern Japan. Local reports indicated that six of the victims died in Chiba Prefecture, while three perished in Kanagawa Prefecture.

The typhoon caused widespread damage, particularly in Chiba Prefecture, which also experienced heavy rains and flooding last August and in early September.
