Prince's Representative Discusses Investment Opportunities and Economic Cooperation with Goldman Sachs, BlackRock, and KKR Leadership

The meetings addressed developments in financial markets, global economic prospects, and investment in national human capital.

On Tuesday evening, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, the Crown Prince and representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, received a number of CEOs and senior officials from major global investment firms at the Kuwaiti Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

His Highness the Crown Prince received Scott Nuttall, Partner and Co-Chief Executive Officer of the investment firm KKR, where they discussed investment cooperation opportunities, reviewed promising prospects and the company’s collaboration with the State of Kuwait, and exchanged views on global economic outlooks and current financial challenges.

In another meeting, His Highness received David Solomon, Chief Executive Officer of Goldman Sachs, and his accompanying delegation, where they discussed ways to enhance mutual cooperation and examined several economic and developmental issues, as well as promising investment opportunities in the State of Kuwait.

The meeting also addressed investment in national human capital to contribute to developing leadership and technical skills, and building a workforce capable of keeping pace with rapid transformations in the investment and financial markets sectors, alongside reviewing the latest economic developments on both the regional and international stages.

His Highness the Crown Prince also received Larry Fink, Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock, and his accompanying delegation, where they reviewed and discussed economic and investment matters of mutual interest, examined the latest global developments in investment and financial markets, and explored ways to strengthen cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of developing human capital and investing in national competencies through the exchange and transfer of expertise, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.

The meetings were attended by Sheikh Jeraih Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United States of America; Ambassador Tariq Al-Bunai, Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations; and Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Daie, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince.
