Prince's Representative attends meeting of Arab and Islamic leaders and heads of delegations with Trump in New York

- The meeting discussed Iranian aggressions, the safety of navigation, global energy supplies, and the situation in Gaza.

- Reaffirmation of the strategic partnership with the United States and support for efforts toward de-escalation and a comprehensive and just peace.

Representing His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, participated in a joint meeting hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump. The meeting was attended by leaders and heads of delegations from several Arab and Islamic countries, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

During the meeting, participants examined the rapid developments and serious recent events in the region, particularly Iranian aggressions against regional states, the safety and freedom of maritime navigation, and global energy supplies, as well as the situation in the Gaza Strip.

The importance of the strategic partnership and close, continuous coordination with the United States to enhance regional and international security was also emphasized, along with support for efforts to de-escalate tensions and establish the foundations for a comprehensive and just peace in the region.

On the sidelines of the General Assembly’s work, His Highness the Crown Prince met with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of the Republic of Senegal and his accompanying delegation.

At the outset of the meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, to the Senegalese President, along with his best wishes for the President’s good health and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Republic of Senegal and its people.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Kuwait and Senegal and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields, as well as exchanging views on key regional and international developments.

On Tuesday evening, His Highness the Crown Prince received Dr. Mostafa Madbouli, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and his accompanying delegation at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York City.

His Highness conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt, along with his best wishes for the President’s good health and for the continued progress and prosperity of Egypt and its people.

The meeting reviewed the deep-rooted, historic fraternal relations between Kuwait and Egypt, characterized by close cooperation and continuous coordination. It also discussed ways to support, strengthen, and elevate these relations to broader horizons in various fields, in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries and their peoples.

The two sides also exchanged views on key issues on the agenda of the United Nations General Assembly and discussed the latest regional and international developments, affirming the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on these matters.

In another meeting, His Highness the Crown Prince met with Ali Al-Falhi Al-Zaidi, Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq, and his accompanying delegation at the United Nations headquarters.

The meeting discussed relations between Kuwait and Iraq and ways to strengthen them in various fields to serve the common interests of both countries and their peoples, as well as discussing recent developments and issues of mutual interest in the regional and international arenas.

His Highness the Crown Prince also met with Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting reviewed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed ways to enhance and develop them in various fields.

The two sides agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between Kuwait and Pakistan, chaired by the foreign ministers of the two countries, to serve as a structured and regular institutional framework for consultation and coordination, and to contribute to elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons that serve the shared interests of both nations and their peoples.

The meeting also discussed key issues and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly, as well as the latest developments and trends in the regional and international arenas.

Attending the meetings were Sheikh Jeraah Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Mishal Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; and Ambassador Tariq Al-Bunai, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. The meeting with the Prime Minister of Egypt was also attended by Minister Plenipotentiary Abdullah Al-Obaidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Minister’s Office. The meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan was attended by Brigadier General Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Dai, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince.
