Deputy of His Highness the Amir meets with the Prime Minister of Iceland to discuss the development of bilateral relations and common issues

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, met today with His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and the Prime Minister of Iceland, Katrín Jakobsdóttir, along with the accompanying delegation, at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the UN General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between Kuwait and Iceland and ways to develop them in the interest of both countries and peoples, as well as discussed a number of issues of common concern.

Attending the meeting were Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; and Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
