Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey reaffirmed their steadfast support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as its inherent right to defend itself, its territory, and its people. They condemned in the strongest terms all acts of aggression targeting the Kingdom, including the recent Houthi attacks.

This was stated in a joint statement issued following the consultative meeting of the foreign ministers of the four countries in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The ministers expressed their deep concern over the continued tensions and hostile actions in the region, affirming that dialogue and diplomacy are the only path to achieving sustainable solutions. They stressed the necessity of adhering to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding to ensure lasting peace and stability.

The statement underscored the importance of ensuring the safety and freedom of maritime navigation, reaffirming support for the Kingdom and its right to defend itself, its territory, and its people in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter.

The ministers reiterated their steadfast support for the legitimate Yemeni government and the Presidential Leadership Council, and their backing of their efforts to achieve security, stability, and development in Yemen through a comprehensive Yemeni-Yemeni political process and dialogue that includes all parties.

Regarding the Palestinian issue, the ministers affirmed the centrality of the Palestinian cause to achieving peace, security, and stability in the Middle East. They expressed their support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their inalienable right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign, viable, and geographically contiguous state, based on the pre-June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

The ministers also reaffirmed their steadfast support for the sovereignty, unity, independence, and territorial integrity of Sudan. They emphasized the importance of preserving the legitimate national state institutions, rejecting any parallel entities that would undermine Sudan’s sovereignty and unity, and the necessity of halting the illicit flow of weapons, mercenaries, and foreign fighters into Sudanese territory.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the ministers agreed to continue coordination and consultation on regional and international developments, contributing to the enhancement of collective security and the consolidation of long-term regional stability.
