Crown Prince's Representative and Canadian Prime Minister Agree to Work on Establishing a Strategic Dialogue Between the Two Countries

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, representing His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, met today with Mark Carney, Prime Minister of Canada, during the opening session of the High-Level Week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting reviewed the close ties between Kuwait and Canada and explored ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields. The two sides also agreed to work toward establishing a strategic dialogue between the two countries, chaired by their respective foreign ministers, to serve as an institutionalized and regular framework for consultation and coordination, thereby elevating bilateral relations to broader horizons in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries and peoples.

The meeting also discussed key issues and topics on the agenda of the General Assembly, as well as the latest developments and trends in regional and international affairs.
