Foreign Minister discusses with Swiss counterpart enhancing bilateral relations and latest developments

He discussed with Mladenov the efforts of the Gaza Peace Council to achieve security and stability and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jeraf Al-Jaber met on Monday with Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Federal Council and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the meeting reviewed bilateral relations between Kuwait and Switzerland and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, in addition to discussing the latest developments on the regional and international scenes.

In another meeting, Sheikh Jeraf Al-Jaber received Nikolai Mladenov, the Special Coordinator for the Gaza Peace Council, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Ministry said that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the Gaza Strip, the efforts of the Gaza Peace Council aimed at achieving security and stability, as well as regional and international initiatives to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Strip.
