Deputy of His Highness the Amir holds talks with the King of Jordan, the Presidents of Turkey and Kosovo, and the President of the European Council on strengthening relations and regional and international developments

His Highness the Amir’s representative, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, met today with His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, and King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince of Jordan, at the King’s residence in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the United Nations General Assembly.

At the outset of the meeting, the Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to King Abdullah II and His Highness the Crown Prince, along with best wishes for their good health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its brotherly people.

The meeting discussed the deep-rooted historical fraternal relations between the State of Kuwait and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and ways to enhance and develop them in the interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples. It also addressed the latest developments on the regional and international scenes.

In a separate meeting, the Crown Prince’s representative met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the permanent mission of the Republic of Turkey to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the eighty-first session of the UN General Assembly.

He conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to President Erdogan, along with best wishes for his health, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Republic of Turkey and its friendly people.

The meeting discussed the close bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Turkey, and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields in the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples, as well as the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern.

The Crown Prince’s representative also received Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and his accompanying delegation at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York. The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and the Republic of Kosovo, and ways to develop them in the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples, alongside discussions on the latest regional and international developments.

His Highness the Crown Prince also received European Council President Antonio Costa at the permanent mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York, conveying to him the greetings of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and best wishes for his success, as well as for further development and growth for the peoples of the friendly European Union member states.

The meeting discussed partnership and cooperation relations between the State of Kuwait and the European Union, and ways to develop them in the interests of shared objectives, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

Attending the Crown Prince’s meeting with the King of Jordan and Crown Prince were Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad, Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna, Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations; Major General Ahmed Al-Duaiji, Director of the Crown Prince’s Office; and Counselor Abdullah Al-Obeidi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Ministerial Office Affairs.

Also present at the meeting with the Turkish President were Sheikh Jara Al-Jaber; Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Sadiq Muhammad Ma’arifi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Organizations Affairs; and Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna.

Attendees at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo included Sheikh Dr. Meshal Al-Jaber Al-Ahmad; Ambassador Mansour Al-Otaibi; Ambassador Tariq Al-Banna; and Major General Ahmed Al-Duaiji.
