Civil Aviation Authority discusses with Kazakhstan's ambassador enhancing cooperation in air transport and exchanging expertise

On Sunday, the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, Sheikh Engineer Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, met with Yergan Ilyikeev, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the country, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Authority said the meeting reviewed opportunities to develop bilateral relations in areas of air transport, operational services, and the exchange of technical expertise, while discussing prospects for future cooperation that would support travel flows and air connectivity, and strengthen coordination on issues of mutual interest.

The statement added that the meeting also addressed key topics scheduled for discussion at the extraordinary session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Assembly of States, which is set to be held at the organization’s headquarters in Canada next November.
