Kuwait and Japan sign cooperation memorandum to enhance partnership and exchange expertise in the sports field

Kuwait’s Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, and Junichi Kawai, Commissioner of the Japan Sport Agency, signed a memorandum of cooperation today, Sunday, between the Public Authority for Youth and Sports in Kuwait and the Japan Sport Agency, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging expertise in the sports field.

In a press statement, the Youth and Sports Authority said that the memorandum aligns with the State of Kuwait’s commitment to expanding its international sports partnerships and benefiting from Japan’s advanced experiences and expertise, thereby contributing to the development of the sports sector, enhancing the exchange of knowledge and skills, and supporting programs and initiatives that serve athletes and youth.

The Authority added that the memorandum aims to open new avenues for coordination and cooperation between the two sides in areas of mutual sports interest, and to build a sustainable partnership that strengthens Kuwait-Japan relations and supports sports development pathways in Kuwait.
