Trump bans entry of three US media outlets to the White House on grounds of spreading 'fake news'

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday the ban of CNN, MS News, and the digital newspaper Politico from entering the White House, citing their “continued dissemination of fake news,” and hinted at similar measures against other media outlets.

Trump stated in a post on the social media platform Truth Social: “It is my great honor to announce, effective immediately, the ban of CNN, MS News, and Politico from the White House due to their continued dissemination of fake news.”

He affirmed, according to the post: “The media should not be allowed to repeatedly write or broadcast fabricated stories and lies when covering news about the President of the United States, the Trump administration, or the United States.”
