Chief of Staff and French counterpart discuss enhancing defense cooperation

They emphasized the importance of elevating the level of military coordination and discussed efforts to enhance regional security and stability.

Lieutenant General Khalid Al-Shuraim, Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, met with French Army Chief of Staff General Fabien Mandon to discuss aspects of defense cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways to strengthen and develop it in light of current circumstances.

The General Staff Headquarters stated in a statement that this took place during a meeting held as part of the Chief of Staff’s official visit to the French Republic, where both sides affirmed the importance of raising the level of coordination and cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries.

It added that the meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, as well as efforts aimed at enhancing regional security and stability.
