Traffic Department: Suspects of reckless driving arrested and referred to Central Prison

The General Traffic Department, through its Security Supervision Directorate, apprehended two suspects after monitoring video footage documenting their reckless and negligent driving, which endangered their own lives, the lives of other road users, and their property.

In a statement, the Traffic Department said that the suspects were apprehended following the necessary investigations and the identification of their identities. Legal proceedings were initiated against them, and they were referred to the Central Prison. Additionally, the vehicles involved in the incidents were impounded in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures.

The General Traffic Department warned that endangering lives and property would be met with strict enforcement of the law without leniency. It affirmed its continued efforts to monitor and apprehend those engaged in reckless and negligent driving, and to hold them accountable, in order to safeguard the safety of road users.
