"Khalilouh" Crown Jewel of the Kings

We say to those who do not know it: "Khalaouh." It is 108 years old today, yet it still exists, bearing a great historical impact and story.
It was sold for 170,000 rupees in India to the British Crown’s East India Company. "Khalaouh" has adorned the Royal Crown since the reign of King George, up to the present day under King Charles III.
It is the pearl of pearls, named for its rare conical shape. It was discovered in "Hir Khalaouh" from Kuwait’s pearl beds in 1918 and sold to the largest Bahraini merchant, who in turn sold it to the British company in India.
"Khalaouh" is a Kuwaiti fingerprint. The current generation must know its history. Here, we address our friend and researcher of Kuwaiti maritime history, Omar Qasim Al-Yaqout, son of the Naakhoda family, owner of that historical pearl, and our brother Mishaari Al-Yaqout, who revealed this magnificent gem during a "Good Morning" television interview a few days ago. Why does "Khalaouh" adorn Kuwaiti currency just as it adorns the British Crown?
From here, we document Kuwait’s ancient maritime history and affirm the strength of Kuwaiti-British friendship, which began before the signing of the 1899 agreement, as well as before the discovery of the "Khalaouh" pearl in 1918 and its sale to the British Crown.
This documented history, with such information, may seem simple to some, but we see it as great in all its meanings, which we must be proud of, and which our generations should also be proud of. Therefore, we must emphasize it and ensure it leaves an engraved and printed mark on our national currency, becoming the talk of all future generations.

We document and record it today to remind the world of the importance of this proud nation, its men, leadership, and people. This generation has preserved for us the stories of ancestors and fathers, their interaction with their heritage, their maritime work, their heritage and labor, and their struggle against the barren desert life with patience, etiquette, poetry, and art, documented for all generations.
