Education Ministry: Approval of Admissions to Gifted Schools for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Ministry of Education announced the completion of the sorting and approval procedures for students accepted into the schools for gifted students for the 2026/2027 academic year, following the completion of the talent identification exams, the application of the defined admission criteria, and the approval of results based on students' scores and available seats.
The Ministry confirmed that the talent identification exams were administered to 1,070 male and female middle school students from various educational regions, using standardized and approved tools to measure general intellectual ability, academic achievement, and creativity, in addition to personal interviews, in accordance with clear scientific and international standards and the approved procedures for admission to schools for gifted students.

It noted that the schools for gifted students provide a specialized educational environment that takes into account the needs and abilities of students, pointing out that the approved regulations for the school system set the maximum number of learners in a classroom at 16 students, thereby allowing for a higher level of interaction and individual follow-up, and contributing to the development of their abilities and skills and providing an educational experience that aligns with the nature of gifted student care programs.
The Ministry clarified that each student's result is now available to their parent via the "Mawahib" platform on the Ministry of Education's website, through the unified login system, urging parents to log in to the platform and review their children's results.
It explained that the parent of an accepted student must register their intention to complete the transfer procedures via the "Mawahib" platform, while ensuring that address and phone number details are updated, in preparation for completing the remaining required procedures according to the specified deadlines.
It confirmed that the process of transferring the files of accepted students to the schools for gifted students will begin on Sunday, September 27, 2026, urging parents to complete the required procedures via the "Mawahib" platform within the specified deadlines.
The Ministry indicated that these measures come within the framework of its commitment to continue developing the system for caring for gifted students and providing a specialized educational environment based on clear scientific foundations and standards, thereby enhancing the discovery of their abilities, the development of their skills, and the utilization of these in their educational journey.
