He noted that the participation of 156 schools across all educational stages, from kindergarten to secondary school, in last year’s exhibition underscored the significance of involving students in practical initiatives that foster a sense of social responsibility and encourage recycling practices and the reduction of plastic waste.

For her part, Sanaa Al-Ghamlas, CEO of “Amna,” commended the role of government entities, represented by the Ministries of Interior, Education, Youth and Sports, and Development and Sustainability, as well as the Environmental Authority, in supporting environmental initiatives and strengthening institutional partnerships aimed at raising environmental awareness among students. She noted that school registrations for the competition began on September 13 and will continue until September 26.

Al-Ghamlas emphasized the exhibition’s role in raising environmental awareness among students and promoting a culture of plastic collection and recycling. She pointed out that the initiative offers an opportunity to translate environmental concepts into practical actions involving students and educational and administrative bodies across all school levels.

The “Your School’s Wish” plastic collection competition, organized annually in collaboration with schools under the Ministry of Education, continues its awareness mission among students across various educational stages by encouraging their participation in plastic collection and promoting recycling culture, thereby supporting national efforts in environmental sustainability and reinforcing social responsibility among the youth.
