The robot features a multi-jointed biomimetic design that enables it to generate undulating movements closely resembling natural fish swimming, along with systems for motion control, obstacle recognition, and avoidance while navigating aquatic environments.

According to Al Jazeera Technology, citing the company, the PG-5 is designed to operate in aquatic environments and can be used for water monitoring, inspection of aquatic environments and structures, as well as research and scientific applications.

The company’s published specifications indicate that the robot is capable of diving, ascending, and maneuvering underwater. It can also be operated in swarms of robots, as part of efforts to develop technologies inspired by marine organisms to perform various tasks in aquatic environments.
