Ambassador Al-Amiri: Discussed the recruitment of qualified Tajik labor for Kuwait’s private sector

Tajikistan’s Minister of Labor, Migration, and Population Employment, Salihah Zadova, affirmed on Wednesday her country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation in the field of workforce and vocational training with the State of Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Embassy in Tajikistan stated in a statement received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this came during a meeting held by Zadova with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mohammed Al-Amiri, in the capital, Dushanbe.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Amiri said that the meeting discussed prospects for cooperation in employment, vocational qualification, and skills development, as well as the exchange of expertise and capacity building between the relevant authorities in both countries.

He added that discussions also covered the recruitment of qualified Tajik labor for the private sector in Kuwait, emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination among concerned parties to enhance cooperation and leverage Tajikistan’s skilled and qualified technical expertise.

Ambassador Al-Amiri reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to facilitating communication and following up on proposals with relevant authorities, as well as strengthening direct communication between Tajikistan’s Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Population Employment and Kuwaiti competent authorities, notably the Public Authority for Manpower.

The two countries had previously signed a memorandum of understanding on organizing cooperation in the exchange of labor in the private sector during an official visit by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon to Kuwait in 2024.
