He addressed the disruptions in navigation in the Strait of Hormuz during the war, citing Iranian attacks on freedom of navigation and violations of transit provisions under international law, and their subsequent impact on shipping and maritime transport. He affirmed that the UAE’s ports system contributed to the continuity of shipping operations to ports in regional countries, supporting supply chains and maintaining import and export flows.

Promising Opportunities

The UAE Ambassador stated that the Kuwaiti market is witnessing growth and economic transformation, providing promising investment opportunities in industry, logistics, energy, artificial intelligence, food, construction, the financial and banking sectors, tourism and hospitality, shipbuilding, shipping, transport, and storage. Dr. Al Neyadi pointed out that Kuwaiti investments in the UAE are longstanding and substantial, beginning in real estate before expanding into banking, infrastructure, digital, and technology sectors. He noted that the UAE market is open to Kuwaiti companies, allowing them access to global markets and benefiting from the economic partnership agreements the UAE has signed with approximately 37 markets, which offer incentives and opportunities for growth and expansion. He stated that companies and institutions participating in the meeting, including First Abu Dhabi Bank, presented future opportunities and projects, highlighting that new legislation in Kuwait supports the creation of an attractive investment environment.
