Qatar and Britain Extend Defense Cooperation Agreement
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Qatar, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the UK Minister of Defense, Wes Streeting, signed today, Tuesday, an agreement to extend the defense cooperation pact between the two countries.
Minister Streeting stated in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account: “With the agreement to extend defense cooperation between the United Kingdom and Qatar, we will continue to work together to safeguard the security of our countries and enhance regional stability, alongside collaborating on the development of the latest technologies.”
He noted that he discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Qatar issues of mutual interest, particularly ways to develop military relations between the two countries.
