Bahrain strongly condemned on Tuesday the terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia, involving ballistic missiles and drones, on the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif, which resulted in injuries to several civilians and material damage to numerous homes and vehicles.

In a statement, Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the attacks as a blatant violation of the rules of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and relevant Security Council resolutions. It reaffirmed that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are an integral part of the national security of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its unwavering support for all necessary measures the Kingdom takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability, and to protect its citizens and residents, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. It also expressed best wishes for the swift recovery of the injured.

Bahrain called on the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities, adopt a firm stance to halt the repeated terrorist attacks by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia, hold the perpetrators accountable, and implement its relevant resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216 (2015) and Resolution 2817 (2026).
