"The Blue Bird"... A Distinguished History

When you travel on Kuwait Airways, you do not feel out of place during the journey; rather, you remain in Kuwait.

This is the feeling I experience every time I fly with the “Blue Bird,” and each time there is more to give, which underscores the authenticity of this company, as it is, in fact, a microcosm of my country, my homeland. It is also distinguished by its services and provides considerable comfort to passengers.

This idea took shape in me during my last trip from Europe to Kuwait, or rather, it became even more firmly rooted, because every time I fly with an airline other than Kuwait Airways, I feel a sense of alienation.

This is not mere praise for the airline; rather, it is a reality that dawns on every Kuwaiti, I believe, especially since it operates according to a plan based on competition and leadership. On this basis, a new board of directors was appointed, as part of the changes and the infusion of fresh blood into management, as well as improving quality, which is lacking in many companies and institutions operating in Kuwait.

The history of this company includes many milestones that have earned it a respected position in the Arab aviation world. On this basis, it deserves support from all sectors in the country, because the “Blue Bird” is not just an airline; it is one of Kuwait’s national symbols and an expression of a component of national identity.

The company has endured many hardships, the most significant of which was the period of the invasion, when a large number of its assets were destroyed and its fleet and facilities were looted. Nevertheless, it returned stronger and worked to reclaim its distinguished position in the Arab aviation world. Although it suffered greatly, it rose with greater resilience.

Thus, the “Blue Bird” has much to offer if there are sincere intentions and creative plans. I believe the new board of directors will work toward this goal, to keep the “Blue Bird” soaring high in the name of Kuwait.
