Decree Promoting 50 Judges and Public Prosecutors
34 Prosecutors Transferred to the “Court of Cassation” Effective October 1
The Official Gazette, “Kuwait Today,” published in its issue No. 1808 released yesterday, Sunday, Decree No. 142 of 2026 concerning judicial promotions and transfers, which includes the promotion and transfer of 84 judges, members of the Public Prosecution, and prosecutors.
The decree stipulates the promotion of 50 judges, members of the Public Prosecution, and prosecutors to the ranks indicated next to their names, effective July 5, 2026, along with the transfer of 34 prosecutors to serve as judges at the Court of Cassation, effective October 1 of the coming year.

The promotions included the ranks of Second-Class Judge and Prosecutor “A,” while the transfer movement to the Court of Cassation was distributed between the ranks of Second-Class and Third-Class Judges.
According to the decree, the movement included the promotion of three Prosecutors “B” to the rank of Second-Class Judge and their transfer to the Court of Cassation, the transfer of three Prosecutors “A” to serve as Second-Class Judges, along with the transfer of 28 Prosecutors “B” to serve as Third-Class Judges.
