Minister of 'Development and Sustainability' Discusses with FAO Enhancing Cooperation in Food Security
State Minister for Development and Sustainability, Dr. Reem Al-Faleh, held talks today, Sunday, with representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Regional Office for the Near East and North Africa, exploring ways to enhance joint cooperation on several priority files, foremost among them food security and the sustainable management of natural resources.
The ministry said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the meeting reviewed areas of technical cooperation, exchange of expertise, and leveraging international experiences and practices developed by the organization.
It clarified that these efforts are part of supporting national initiatives aimed at strengthening the sustainability of food systems, improving resource use efficiency, and developing data and indicator systems related to food security and sustainability.
