Saudi Crown Prince and Pakistani Prime Minister Discuss Event Developments and De-escalation Efforts
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held talks today, Sunday, with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on developments in the situation and diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the discussion took place during a phone call received by the Crown Prince from the Pakistani Prime Minister.
SPA noted that the Pakistani Prime Minister expressed his country’s condemnation of the attacks being carried out against the Kingdom by Houthi militias, and reiterated Pakistan’s strong denunciation of the blatant violations of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, reaffirming Pakistan’s full solidarity and support for the Kingdom.
SPA added that the Pakistani Prime Minister condemned the attacks targeting the Kingdom’s vital oil infrastructure and affirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kingdom’s security, while commending the Kingdom’s restraint and its backing of Iraqi government efforts to prevent the use of Iraqi territory for attacks against the Kingdom and neighboring countries.
