Egyptian President reaffirms to his Iranian counterpart the necessity of halting any attacks on Arab states

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi stressed during a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian on Sunday the necessity of halting any aggression against Arab states, in order to uphold the principles of good neighborliness and strengthen the historical and cultural ties binding the peoples of the region.

The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated in a press release that el-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s firm and steadfast position supporting efforts to restore stability in the region during the meeting held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS summit.

The spokesperson added that el-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s aspiration for Iran to make every possible effort to halt escalation and reach a comprehensive and sustainable peaceful settlement of the crisis, thereby safeguarding the sovereignty of the region’s states and protecting the well-being of their peoples.
