Ministry of Food: Over 144 Kilograms of Unfit-for-Consumption Foodstuffs Destroyed in the Capital
The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced the seizure of several violations and the destruction of 144,260 kilograms of food unfit for human consumption, as part of its ongoing regulatory efforts to protect consumer health and safety.
The Authority clarified that the violations seized by the inspection department of the Capital Governorate varied between the display and sale of spoiled food, failure to comply with general hygiene rules and requirements during operations, and operating a food establishment after its health license had expired.
