The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wasmi, announced today, Sunday, the official launch of the General Secretariat for Endowments’ dedicated endowment bank accounts service via the unified government services application “Sahel.” This initiative aims to bolster digital transformation, improve service delivery, simplify procedures, and broaden electronic endowment options.
Minister Al-Wasmi told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the service enables users to complete endowment procedures easily, conveniently, and securely—from filling out data and selecting a bank account to confirming the transaction and receiving an electronic notification—without the need to visit the General Secretariat for Endowments.
He noted that the endowment services encompass several bank accounts playing a vital role in implementing various developmental projects, including those related to mosques, orphan sponsorship, water provision, and the Kuwait Endowment Authority.
He added that the General Secretariat for Endowments places great importance on fulfilling its assigned role and the responsibility of executing endowment deeds, striving through its endowment projects to strengthen the role of endowments in serving society and achieving sustainable development.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to contributors, urging them to continue donating to the General Secretariat for Endowments to revive the noble Prophetic tradition, sustain charitable giving, and enhance the role of endowments in community development.
