The Iranian Ambassador... Is it necessary for him to remain?

Ambassadors are guests of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, may God protect and guard him.

They are guests of His Highness at the Amir’s Court, the Diwan Amiri, and thus they hold special respect and esteem among citizens, as they are guests of His Highness the Amir.

They serve as a link between His Highness and the heads of their respective countries, to develop relations and establish new means to consolidate and enhance them, or to create new mechanisms beneficial to both sides, or to facilitate matters for companies from the countries they represent in projects decided upon by the government for implementation by global firms.

They also facilitate commercial relations through the importation of their products, or by sending Kuwaiti students to study at their universities.

What I have mentioned is but a small part of the various means and matters between the two parties aimed at developing their ties. The Kuwaiti side, and the second party represented by the country’s ambassador.

Importantly, the ambassador generally and always strives through his efforts to inform the Kuwaiti side of areas of cooperation, and works with all his dedication and sincerity to develop and improve relations.

Unfortunately, today we face an (Iranian) regime that is fragmented and agitated, lacking foundations, customs, deterrents, values, or principles. It is a mob-like, barbaric entity that kicks here and there, unfortunately against other nations, disregarding geographical proximity and the bond of the Holy Quran, the heavenly constitution that guides our lives. How noble is the connection, interdependence, and sense of belonging! But unfortunately, we are afflicted with people who control their affairs and necks not as righteous rulers managing the system, but as a mafia gang that knows only mob violence, oppression, and aggression against the safety of neighbors, abandoning even the simplest principles of human relations.

Of course, they must be avoided, for they are as distant from Islamic principles as a wolf is from the blood of Joseph, and from humanity.

In any case, let us return to the subject of the Iranian ambassador, who has been present in the State of Kuwait for several years. Has he developed relations between the two sides, or do they commit daily aggressions against Kuwait, targeting vital and residential sites? Ultimately, his fate is in the hands of His Highness the Amir, may God protect and guard him. It is also for His Highness to decide whether to maintain relations with this reckless regime or sever them.

I recall here the political leadership’s commitment to handling that crisis with wisdom and diplomacy from its inception, and the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in fulfilling its duties, including the repeated summoning of Iranian embassy officials and the Iranian ambassador to reaffirm Kuwait’s adherence to its diplomatic approach, firmly expressing its rejection of aggressions that threaten the state’s security and sovereignty. This underscores Kuwait’s commitment to conveying clear messages that its national security and sovereignty are paramount priorities, not open to compromise, while continuing to manage crises through established diplomatic and legal frameworks.

Let it be known to near and far that the Kuwaiti people are loyal, dutiful, and committed to bonds of love and affection toward their system. Thus, they do not allow their emotions or moods to lead them into steps of disobedience or disloyalty. Otherwise, they would have torn down the embassy, with its ambassador and pillars, upon their heads. There is more to this story, but I refrain from elaborating, out of respect, reverence, and awe for our system and reality, which restrains me from further discourse.
