Trump: Iran war will end very soon... and oil prices will plummet

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the war with Iran will end “very soon,” predicting that oil prices will “plummet” once the conflict concludes.

Trump, speaking in Dublin after meeting Irish President Catherine Connolly, affirmed that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz and stressed that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons.

He also told reporters, “I think it will happen very soon. I think it will most likely be right after the midterm elections. They are trying to hold out as long as possible to complicate the elections. But I think people are aware of that.”
