Saudi Arabia condemns drone attack on 'East-West' pipeline originating from Iraq

-We have chosen not to respond at this stage in support of the Iraqi government’s efforts, while reserving our right to protect our sovereignty and security.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strongest condemnation of the targeting of the East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions by several drones launched from Iraq, which resulted in human casualties and some damage currently being addressed.

The Ministry clarified that, at the request of the Iraqi Prime Minister’s office, the Kingdom has chosen not to respond at this stage and to support the efforts of the fraternal Iraqi government to take measures to prevent attacks originating from Iraqi territory against the Kingdom and neighboring countries.

The Kingdom reaffirmed its right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security, facilities, citizens, and residents.
