CENTCOM: Redirecting 99 commercial vessels to ensure compliance with the Iran embargo

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that U.S. forces had, as of September 11, redirected 99 commercial vessels to ensure full compliance with the U.S. embargo on Iran.

CENTCOM stated that the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group, fully prepared, along with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, continues its operations as part of the force enforcing the U.S. embargo on Iran.

CENTCOM released an image showing a U.S. Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter preparing to land on the deck of the USS Boxer, which serves as the flagship of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group.
