'People with Disabilities': Launch of 10 new e-services via 'Sahel' to facilitate beneficiaries' transactions
The Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities announced the launch of 10 new e-services via the “Sahl” application, in line with directives from the political leadership aimed at enhancing the level of government services and facilitating citizens’ access to them, and as part of the state’s commitment to strengthening services provided to persons with disabilities.
Dr. Khalifa Al-Hila, Deputy Director General of the Medical, Psychological, and Social Services Sector at the Authority, stated that the launch of the new services aims to simplify procedures and save time and effort for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
He clarified that this step is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop its e-services and enhance the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, enabling them to complete various transactions and access services electronically with ease and convenience.
Al-Hila noted that the new services include requests for a letter to reduce working hours for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, a request for a certificate for whom it may concern, receipt of disability and caregiver certificates, booking appointments with medical committees, requests to renew certificates, and retirement requests for persons with disabilities.
The services also include requests for hearing aids, wheelchairs, fingerprint exemption for persons with disabilities, and traffic license plates.
He added that launching these services complements the Authority’s efforts to develop e-services and simplify procedures for beneficiaries, aligning with the state’s direction toward digital transformation and providing more efficient and accessible government services.
Al-Hila emphasized that the Authority continues to develop and add more e-services that meet the needs of persons with disabilities and their caregivers, contributing to facilitating their access to the Authority’s services, reducing the need for in-person visits, and improving the speed and efficiency of transaction processing.
