Led by Sector Chief Brigadier Ahmed Al-Azmi

The Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector carried out an extensive traffic and inspection campaign in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, under the supervision of the Sector Chief for Traffic and Operations Affairs, Legal Affairs Brigadier Ahmed Al-Azmi, and with the participation of the Technical Inspection Department of the General Directorate of Traffic. The campaign was conducted in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the General Fire Force, and the Public Authority for Environment.

The General Directorate of Traffic stated that the campaign focused on inspecting garages, workshops, and facilities in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, ensuring their compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements, and taking necessary legal action against violators within each entity’s jurisdiction.

The campaign also included thorough checks on vehicles, particularly those violating rules and conditions regarding window tinting, which emit disturbing noises, as well as verifying their compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

The campaign resulted in issuing 50 traffic violations, administratively impounding 217 vehicles, issuing 6 reports from the Ministry of Commerce, and closing facilities, issuing warnings, and summonses by the General Fire Force, as well as issuing 3 violations by the Public Authority for Environment.

The Directorate noted that this campaign is part of joint field efforts by relevant government entities to enhance oversight, enforce laws and regulations, curb violations, and improve traffic and public safety, thereby contributing to the security and safety of road users.
