Apple unveils the new generation of iPhone and its latest products

Apple unveiled a range of its new devices today during its annual event, the first major keynote led by new CEO John Ternus. The lineup included the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple’s first foldable iPhone, alongside AirPods 5 and new Apple Watch models.
iPhone 18 Pro
Apple introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max featuring the new A20 Pro processor, built on a 2-nanometer process. The chip brings enhancements in processing power, graphics, and artificial intelligence, along with a new 32-core neural processing system designed to run AI models directly on the device.
The company stated that both phones received one of the most significant camera upgrades in the iPhone series. They feature a 48-megapixel main camera with a variable aperture, offering greater control over light intake and depth of field, alongside improvements in low-light photography and additional tools for photos and video.
Other improvements include a new cooling system based on a larger vapor chamber, updates to Dynamic Island, and enhanced connectivity technologies.
The phones will be available in Dark Black, Silver, Glacial, and Burgundy. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299.
Foldable iPhone
In the event’s headline announcement, Apple revealed its first-ever foldable iPhone, marking the company’s official entry into the foldable smartphone market.
The device features a book-style clamshell design, offering a large internal screen when open and an external display for everyday use when closed, aiming to combine the experience of a smartphone and a tablet in a single device.
AirPods 5
Apple also unveiled the AirPods 5, featuring improved sound quality and an enhanced active noise cancellation system, along with upgrades to control features and daily usability.
Prices for the earbuds start at $129, with the version featuring additional capabilities priced at $149.
Apple Watch
Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 12, equipped with a new processor that enhances health and fitness monitoring, activity analysis, sleep tracking, and biometric indicators.
The company also introduced the Apple Watch Ultra 4, featuring improvements in health sensors, heart rate monitoring, electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities, and stress and recovery metrics.
The Apple Watch Series 12 starts at $399.
Siri and AI
Apple showcased new capabilities for Siri and artificial intelligence, including a deeper understanding of the user’s personal context and the ability to execute tasks across apps. The AI can also utilize the camera to understand what the user is viewing and perform related actions.
The company emphasized its focus on performing as many AI processes on-device as possible, thereby enhancing privacy and reducing the need to send data to external servers.
Apple also demonstrated technologies related to verifying image authenticity and detecting content created or modified using AI tools.
