Kuwait officials participated in the APEC 2026 conference in Singapore, discussing developments in energy markets and strengthening international partnerships.

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) participated in the 42nd Annual Asia-Pacific Petroleum Conference (APEC 2026), held in Singapore, with a delegation led by Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al-Sabah, Managing Director for Global Marketing. The event brought together a select group of energy market leaders and oil and gas industry experts from Asia and around the world.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, KPC said that this year’s participation holds special significance due to its meetings and discussions with international clients and partners, reaffirming Kuwait’s steadfast commitment to its role as a reliable energy supplier and its dedication to maintaining the security and stability of supply while meeting the needs of its customers in Asia and various global markets.

The corporation noted that despite current regional challenges, KPC and its subsidiaries continue to operate with high efficiency and flexibility to ensure business continuity and fulfill their commercial obligations to clients.

The statement added that the conference, which began two days ago and concludes tomorrow, featured KPC leadership in specialized sessions. Sheikh Khaled Ahmad Al-Sabah participated in a session titled “Producers’ Strategy for the Next Cycle: How a Major Supplier Navigates Supply Flexibility Changes and Evolving Demand Dynamics.”

Deputy Managing Director for Global Marketing Contracts, Emad Al-Kandari, took part in a session titled “Strengthening Partnerships with Customers in Petroleum Product Markets Amid Rapidly Changing Commercial Conditions,” while Dr. Salah Al-Awadi, Head of the Marketing Research Team, participated in a session titled “Assessing Fuel Oil Trends and Flexibility Levels in Marine Fuel Markets.”

The sessions discussed several strategic issues related to the development of global energy markets, supply security and flexibility, and the enhancement of long-term commercial relationships with customers.

KPC’s delegation held a series of meetings with the corporation’s clients, partners, and representatives of major global companies on the sidelines of the conference.

Separately, the statement noted that KPC hosted its annual reception under the supervision of its regional office in Singapore, attended by numerous clients, partners, and representatives of oil and energy companies from Asia and around the world.

The reception continues the corporation’s approach to building long-term relationships with its clients and partners, enhancing direct communication and dialogue channels.
