Jordan: Interception and destruction of 18 Iranian ballistic missiles, two falling in uninhabited areas

The Jordanian Armed Forces announced on Wednesday that the kingdom was subjected to a missile attack originating from Iranian territory in recent hours.

The official spokesperson for the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army – stated that air defense systems engaged 20 ballistic missiles launched toward Jordanian territory, intercepting and destroying 18 of them, while two missiles fell in areas devoid of population centers.

He affirmed that the armed forces responded to the threat in accordance with established operational procedures, ensuring the protection of the kingdom’s airspace and the safety of citizens, noting that surveillance, monitoring, and assessment operations remain ongoing.
