It was clarified that some of the tanker owners had rented them out under a leasing arrangement, aware that they would be used for this illegal activity, which facilitated the collection, transportation, and trafficking of the stolen diesel.
The Ministry emphasized that this measure aims to deter anyone who uses machinery and equipment to commit crimes or makes them available to others, knowing they will be used for illegal activities, and to reinforce respect for the law, protect public funds, and safeguard state resources.
