Lebanon: Ongoing escalation of Israeli aggression and death toll rises to 4,381 since March

Lebanon announced on Monday that the cumulative toll of victims from the ongoing Israeli occupation’s aggression across various areas has risen to 4,381 dead since March 2 of last year.

The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in a bulletin that the cumulative death toll from the occupation’s aggression since March 2 of last year “as of today” has reached 4,381 dead and 12,402 wounded. It further noted that the overall toll of the aggression since October 8, 2023, stands at 8,948 dead and 30,638 wounded.

Regarding field developments, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli occupation forces convoy targeted the road between the towns of Sajjad and Al-Reihan in the Jezzine District, with no human casualties reported in southern Lebanon.

The agency also stated that Israeli occupation forces carried out bombings in the town of Houla in the Marjayoun District, causing significant material damage to properties in the south.

Earlier on Monday, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that Israeli occupation attacks on southern Lebanon over the past three days resulted, in a preliminary tally, in 27 dead and 69 wounded.

Southern Lebanon continues to experience sustained military and field escalation, marked by increasing violations and clashes along the southern border since March 2 of last year. This has resulted in hundreds of dead and wounded, the displacement of thousands of residents from border villages and towns, and severe damage to infrastructure and property.
