'Meteorology': Hot and humid weather with fog until Thursday
- Chances for scattered light rain from tomorrow evening
The Director of the Meteorology Department, Essam Al-Ali, said on Monday that the country is affected by hot and humid weather, which leads to reduced horizontal visibility due to fog, and this condition will persist until next Thursday.
Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is being influenced by an extension of the Indian monsoon low, accompanied by a hot and humid air mass, particularly in coastal areas.
He clarified that the country’s exposure to this low-pressure system will result in continued humid weather, with reduced horizontal visibility in some areas, especially coastal ones, due to fog.
He noted that winds will be variable to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, ranging between 8 and 35 kilometers per hour.
He stated that weather will generally be hot and humid during the day until Thursday, and hot to warm and humid at night, particularly in coastal areas, with chances of fog forming in some areas during the late night and early morning hours.
He predicted an increase in low and medium clouds starting from tomorrow evening, Tuesday, through Thursday, with chances of scattered light rain in some areas.
Regarding expected temperatures, Al-Ali said the high will range between 43 and 46 degrees Celsius, while the low will range between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius.
